Catherine Zucker, Data Scientist
Catherine Zucker is a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, a masters from Harvard University, and a PhD from Harvard University, all in astronomy and physics.
Catherine's interests span astrophysics, data science, and data visualization, with an emphasis on the use of "big data" to understand the structure of our Milky Way Galaxy (see the Radcliffe Wave website). She joined the glue software team in 2015, and has worked to develop plugins which link glue to other interactive visualization tools, to facilitate their publication in online journals. She has also led glue tutorials and workshops at universities and conferences across the country.
